The Faculty Development Program on “Testing of Biodegradable and Compostable Plastics” was successfully conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized by the Saveetha Institute of Natural and Physical Sciences, SIMATS. The session was led by the distinguished resource person, Dr. K. R. Srinivasan, Vice President – Technical (EP), Ddev Plastiks Industries Ltd., Dabhel, Daman. The program provided valuable insights into the testing standards, evaluation methods, and practical challenges associated with biodegradable and compostable plastics. Participants gained exposure to industry-relevant practices, regulatory requirements, and sustainability aspects related to plastic materials. The event was informative and interactive, contributing significantly to faculty knowledge enhancement in the area of sustainable materials and environmental compliance.
