SIMATS has a strong organisational structure headed by a Principal and Deans of the Institution. Each associate dean has been assigned a portfolio to explore, improve, standardise their areas. We at SIMATS work together as a family in order to provide the best Teaching - Learning environment, motivating students towards research, to explore the opportunities outside our country, and also to make them a confident, independent professionals
Dr. N.M.VEERAIYAN OUR CHANCELLOR
Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, Chancellor SIMATS, began his journey in education with an ambition to start a model dental college. He started Saveetha Dental College & Hospital in Chennai in 1988 and subsequently College of Nursing in 1992, College of Physiotherapy in 1993 and College of Occupational Therapy in 1998 .The service to the cause of education was extended to other fields by establishment of Saveetha Engineering College in 2001. He created the SIMATS Deemed University in 2005 and the rest is history.

Principal
Prof. Dr. P. Santhana Gopala Krishnan did his M. Tech. and Ph.D. at IIT, New Delhi. He has over 30 years of experience in academia, industry, research and administration, spanning various capacities, including Principal Director of CIPET, Chennai, Joint General Manager (R&D) of Futura Polyesters Limited, Chennai, and Research Scientist of the Institute of Materials Research & Engineering (IMRE), Singapore. He is also an honorary research professor at Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa. He has also served as a Chief Superintendent of Examinations and a member of the BOS of Anna University, Utkal University, and Biju Patnaik University of Technology. He has secured grants from CSIR, DST, and DCPC of the Government of India. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed research publications in International Journals and has 50 conference presentations in India and abroad. He has written 9 invited book chapters. Five of his research scholars successfully received doctoral degrees from Anna University and DUT South Africa. Apart from this, he has guided 40 master’s theses.
His Biography is listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the World and Science and Engineering. He is an Editorial Board member of the Academic Journal of Polymer Science. His research interests include polymer nanocomposites, biopolymers, polyimides, polyesters, nanocubes (POSS), acrylates, and plastic waste management
